History of Haas Contractors Haas Contractors has been servicing the needs of contractors, residents, county, city, and state projects for more than 60 years. Ernest Dekalb Haas, the founder of Haas Contractors, began this business in 1946 by receiving bulk cement by railway in which he turned the cement into what is referred to as “ready mixed concrete”. In 1952, Mr. Haas began to incorporate a hauling and grading division into the business. This new division consisted of clearing, grading, and underground utilities. Haas Contractors has served Dekalb County and surrounding areas for over sixty years providing underground utility work such as septic and storm water systems. Now more than three generations later, Haas Contractors is still in its same location being operated by Britt and Tonya Haas.
